| Rivka has been inspiring children with a love of learning for more than ten years. It is her deeply held belief that all children are born with a passionate curiosity about the world in which they live. She has made it her life's work to ensure that children's eyes remain bright with the thrill of discovery. Her respect for children is rare even among professional educators. |

| Growing up, Rivka attended a mix of parochial and public schools. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Barnard College of Columbia University. After teaching for three years, she went back to school to earn her Masters of Science degree in education. She received her degree from Hunter College, of City University of New York. For her senior project, she researched the social/emotional benefits of homeschooling. She has since earned her Permanent Teaching Certification from the New York State Education Department. Of course, her informal education has continued unabated since she last attended school. |
